Maintenance frequency of wind yaw system

  • by

The maintenance frequency of the wind yaw system depends on multiple factors, including the model of the wind turbine, operating environment, and usage time. Generally speaking, maintenance of wind yaw systems should be carried out at the following frequency:
Daily inspection: Conduct visual inspection of the wind yaw system every day, including the status of components such as yaw motor, yaw reducer, yaw brake, yaw sensor, as well as the oil level and temperature of the yaw gearbox.
Regular maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on the wind yaw system every quarter, including checking the insulation resistance of the yaw motor, the gear wear of the yaw reducer, the brake pad wear of the yaw brake, and the accuracy of the yaw sensor.
Annual inspection: Conduct an annual inspection of the wind yaw system, including dismantling and cleaning of components such as yaw motors, yaw reducers, yaw brakes, yaw sensors, etc., checking for wear and damage to each component, replacing worn components and damaged sensors, etc.
Long term maintenance: Conduct long-term maintenance on the wind yaw system every 5 years, including comprehensive inspection and repair of yaw motors, yaw reducers, yaw brakes, yaw sensors and other components, replacement of worn parts and damaged sensors, cleaning and oil change of the yaw gearbox, etc.
It should be noted that the above maintenance frequency is for reference only, and the specific maintenance frequency should be adjusted according to the actual situation. When performing maintenance on the wind yaw system, it should be operated by professional technicians to ensure maintenance quality and safety.
