Transportation precautions for photovoltaic street light controllers

  • by

Packaging protection
Suitable packaging materials should be used, such as cardboard boxes or plastic boxes. Cushion materials such as foam and sponge shall be filled around the controller to reduce the damage of collision to the electronic components inside the controller. Meanwhile, package the controller in an anti-static bag to prevent static electricity from damaging electronic components.

Environmental requirements
During transportation, avoid exposing the controller to high temperature, high humidity, or corrosive gases. Excessive temperature may damage electronic components, high humidity may cause short circuits, and corrosive gases can also corrode components. The ideal transportation temperature range is generally between -20 ℃ and 60 ℃, with a relative humidity of around 20% -80%.

Placement method
The photovoltaic street light controller should be placed horizontally during transportation to avoid tilting or inversion. Because tilting or inverting may cause the internal components of the controller to shift or loosen the solder joints on the circuit board, affecting its normal use.

Avoid heavy pressure
To prevent other heavy objects from pressing on the controller packaging. Excessive pressure may damage the casing of the controller, thereby damaging internal components. So when stacking goods, be careful not to place heavy items on the controller packaging.

Clear identification
On the packaging, labels such as “Fragile Items”, “Electronic Devices”, and “Avoid Raining” should be marked to remind transportation personnel to handle with care and inform them of special precautions to ensure that the controller is properly handled during transportation.
